Great golfing, always a challenge. The view from the 14th tee of the Hokianga Harbour is stunning. This course is generally playable all year. Friendly club — one of the best country club courses in the country.

Beautiful with great views across the Kaipara Harbour. Great variety of holes and the greens are in good shape.

Went to the South Head golf course cafe for my my birthday lunch. The food was dreadful. The mince patty in my burger was sour and had been disguised with cumin and spices. I often do homemade spiced burgers so I know the difference between fresh meat which has been spiced and meat on the turn which is spiced to disguise the sour taste. The sniff test is also a tell tale sign.. So not a good thing to do… the pie, which looked yummy was luke warm and the cake was very very moist and soggy...however the hot chips were delicious…clean oil, crispy and the middle was soft and delicious…sadly nothing else hit the spot, food wise. The actual golf course is stunning, just gorgeous, and sitting outside on the deck in the sun overlooking the course was magical. It is a fabulous place to play golf.
I understand the cafe is being run by new people who also had th mcnut cafe…it wasnt great either. This feed back is meant to be positive, it is to encourage best practice, and fresh produce. The salad veges in the burger were fresh the meat wasnt. Sadly we wont be back, very disappointing lunch food wise.… – show

A beautiful and well maintained golf clubabout 40mins away from Auckland CBD. All of 18 courses are authentic New Zealand view such as greens and ocean. Affordable green fee is an absolute benefit. All staffs are kind and club members are all lovely peoples make all visitors feel comfortable to play their games every visit.

Joined recently and cant say enough nice things about the course and the people who run it, and the members, who are friendly and welcoming to say the least. Special mention to Mike and Craig, and the Prez, Ross. In very good nick considering theres just one at most two greenkeepers. Exceptional maintenance. The par 3's are hard, and its a good walk. Love this course.

Good golf course, bit of a challenge for every player.
