    Can’t rate this place because I’ve just showed up during “opening hours” and they are shut. Not very useful to only show that info on the front door when I’ve just ubered from the NS. 0/10

      Hola Sofia, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We truly regret this situation and totally understand and share the disappointment. Over the past 2—3 months we've updated our opening hours several times and somedays we were not even able to open at all for the whole week (twice). Clearly this is very frustrating and sadly, if the current situation doesn't improve soon in regards to the staff shortages, quite possibly, we may not be able to open anymore. Gracias, Luis

    Great new menu dishes. We really enjoyed the changes. Luis and team have the best hospitality especially Ann who is always helpful and full of smile. We highly recommend this place.

    Ceviche is one of my favourite dishes and their chef has ruined it for me now. Because every other ceviche pales in comparison to Besos Latinos. Seriously good Mexican food from an expert chef. Many banging tequila cocktails to accompany the meals too. Get in there now

    What sort of owner would their place a cerviche bar when there's no cerviche. Obviously not wanting to be credible. Puts you off eating here

      Hola SR S, thanks for your message. My name is Luis Cabrera, I am the head chef and owner of Besos Latinos Ceviche Bar. It is not often that we ran of fish, but it does happen. The main reason is, we do not ever utilize frozen fish for our ceviches. Actually, I am the one that personally goes to the Auckland Fish Market and choose the freshest catch of the day, but happens that sometimes we get suddenly busy and may ran out of fish earlier than we expected.     We were really impressed! The staff did a fantastic job as hosts. The owner was very engaging and we could tell they are doing their best in a challenging time. The dishes were just superb, and the margaritas were as good as their reputation suggests. Highly recommend.

    Great food, high quality and good portion sizes. The restaurant was absolutely packed, and our first choice of main had already sold out. The chefs and wait staff were run off their feet — felt sorry for them. Needed more staff to accommodate that many customers. Luckily everyone seemed patient. One of our mains were missed and forgotten, when asked if we were ready to leave or order more food we had to remind them we were still waiting on food to come.     Best margaritas! Love that they sell their own margarita mix by the bottle. Great staff. Indoor or outdoor dining for those who are still wary of crowds

    Tequila! Big thanks to Besos Latinos for the hands-down best margaritas I've had in NZ, plus amazing ceviche, tuna tostadas, and chips + guacamole. The owners are super nice and the view is great. We sat outside for lunch and it was lovely.
